Caramel - Apple Upside-Down Cake RECIPE#242










 Step 1 :-    Pre-Heat  the oven to 375 degree Fahrenheit .


 Step 2 :-    Heat a nonstick pan and  melt  butter 4 table spoons) ,



and add white sugar  (a cup ) ,



Caramelize it , 


 And pour the caramelized sugar into a oven proof pan ( i used 10" round pan ) .


Step 3 :-   Arrange  apple wedges ( from 2 nos )  over the caramelized sugar ,  place  butter cubes ( 2-4 )   over the apple wedges  and sprinkle  sugar ( 2-3 teaspoons)  .


 Step 4 :-    Bake  it for 10  minutes 




 Step 5 :-   Melt  butter 2 sticks / 16 tablespoons ) in mixing bowl ,


 add  white sugar ( 2 cups ) , beat well , 



 add eggs ( 3 large) , vanila  ( 3-4 drops  )


beat well  ( for  3-4 minutes ) ,


 Now add whole purpose flour  (2 cups ) , sugar   ( a pinch ) and  baking powder ( 2 teaspoons ) ,



 and fold them well with a spatula .


 Step 6:-  Sprinkle cinnamon powder ( 1 teaspoon ) over the 'baked ''  apple ( step 4) ,


pour the step 5 batter over it, 


Bake for 45-50 minutes ,  ( until a '' wooden toothpick '' inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.)






Place the pan upside down over a serving plate  :)
