EASY PANEER MASALA ( Restaurant Style) RECIPE#152








Step 1:- Cut 200 grams of paneer into small cubes.

Step 2:- Heat a pan and add 1 table spoon of Vegetable oil .

Step 3:-  Fry the panner cubes until it gets light brown color on its edges as in the picture , and keep aside.




 Step 4:- Heat 2 tablespoon of vegetable oil  ( Canola) and  add  finely chopped 3/4 of a large    onion ,  3-4 finely chopped  garlic cloves, 2'' ginger root ,   and 2-3 green chilies  ,  saute until the onion becomes   transparent .


  Step 5:- NOW Bring down the heat and add  1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder, 1 1/2 teaspoon of coriander powder, 1 teaspoon of kashmiri chili powder  1 teaspoon of cumin powder ,  5-7 black pepper, 3-4 cloves and  2-3 cardamom saute for few minutes  .  , until the  raw smell  of  the 'powder' goes away . 


  Step 6: Add a chopped tomato , saute until the tomato becomes mushy .


Step 7:-  Grind ''Step 6''   to a smooth paste   and keep aside.



Step 8:-   Boil the Step 7 paste with a bay leaf , 2-3 table spoon of  spicy ketchup , and 2 table spoon of  dry methi leaves (crushed)   , with 1/2 cup of water for 5-6 minutes on medium flame  .


Step 9  :-  Add the  step 3 fried  Paneer cubes,

1/2 cup of cream ,


and 2-5 teaspoon of pure honey . Cook for another 10 minutes on low flame .


 Step 10 :-    EASY  PANEER MASALA ( Restaurant  Style) is ready  .......:) Serve hot with Tortillas , Chapattis, fulkas..... Enjoy ................ :) -JA-Mathew-

Super Thin Crust "SPICY PIZZA " :) RECIPE#151












Step 1:-Prepare    Pizza dough .

                     I -    Mix 1 teaspoon of sugar  in  1/2 cup of Luke warm water  and  add 3/4  teaspoon  of yeast , 1/2 table spoon of salt and sugar   keep aside to' rise' .






                   II - Make 'a paste with the  raised yeast'   and  1/2 cup of  Atta / wheat flour  . Keep aside. 


                   III - Combine 2 1/2 cups of atta /wheat flour  and  2 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil  well , and add the  'mix II', and 1/2 cup of water , knead well until  you get a soft, springy dough.

                   IV-  Cover the ''dough'' with a warm damp cloth.  And keep  in  warm place ( preferably 78 degree Fahrenheit)   for 1  1/2 hour ( until the dough doubles its size  ) .

                  V-  Knead  again and ''keep it '' for another 1/2 more  hour.
             




Step 2 :- Preheat the  Oven to 450 degree Fahrenheit .
Step 3:- Spread the Pizza dough on  a pre greased pizza pan ( 14.25" round ) .Press the dough [ 1/4 '' thickness]  into the pan . Make  enough holes along the surface of the dough with a fork. Brush the top  and edges 'of the dough' with olive oil. Keep aside  for 10 - 15 minutes.


Step 4:-   Spread   Pizza sauce  ( Here I used Prego  meat flavored Italian  sauce )   in even layer  over the dough.  


 Place the toppings (  Sliced onions, green pepper, chicken pieces ( I used left over from chicken curry )   , 


Pepperoni , sprinkle crushed red chili flakes ,


Grated  Parmesan cheese ,  sprinkle 1 - 1 1/2 teaspoon of  pepper powder   and sprinkle 3-4 teaspoon of olive oil . ) 


Step 5:- Bake for  13-18 minutes [ in middle rack ] until the the crust is  golden brown in color .


Step 6 :-  Super Thin Crust  "SPICY PIZZA " :) ..................enjoy.........JA- Mathew - :)

Kappa Chicken Biryani RECIPE#150

-Specially made for church's  potluck -

I      COOK TAPIOCA

II   'PREPARE'  COCONUT "MIXTURE"

III   PREPARE  THE CHICKEN

IV    MIX 

IIV   FINAL SEASONING 






I      COOK TAPIOCA

Step 1:- Chop  2- 2 1/2  lb of tapioca as in the picture .



Step 2:- Boil water with 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder and salt


Step 3 :-Add the tapioca  and cook until the tapioca  becomes  soft  .



Drain in a colander .





II   MAKE COCONUT "MIXTURE"


Step 1:- Grind 1 cup of  grated coconut ,  2-3 green chillies ,  2 garlic cloves , and 4-5 pearl onions and set aside .









III   PREPARE THE  CHICKEN



Step 1:-  Marinate 3 -4  lb of chicken breast  (  CHOPPED)  with 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder , 2 teaspoon of kashmiri chilli powder and 2 teaspoon of coriander powder   for 5- 8 hours in refrigerator 





 Step 2:- Heat 2-4 tablespoon of vegetable oil  ( Canola) and  add 3   onion ( Chopped) ,  5-9 garlic cloves, 3'' ginger root and saute until the onion becomes  golden brown.



 Step 3:- Now add  7-9 chopped curry leaves and 3-4  chopped green chillies .


 Step 4:- Add the marinated chicken pieces ( step 1)  


 Step 5:- Combine well with 1 teaspoon of garam masala and 1/2 cup of water . Cook for 20- 30 minutes on medium flame .






IV    MIX 



                         Step 1:-  Add the ''cooked tapioca '' and 'coconut mixture'  combine well 


  and cook for another 15-20 minutes on low- medium flame  until the biryani becomes  ''dry''





IIV   FINAL SEASONING 




                            Heat a  pan  ,  add  a  table spoon of oil  ( canola)  splutter 1 1/2 teaspoon of mustard seeds ,  few curry leaves and 2-3 dried red chilliies  , saute for 2- 4 minutes .



                               Pour over  'the tapioca -chicken ' Combine well.cook for another 2-5 minutes on low flame .

Banana Cake RECIPE#149















Step 1:-   Preheat the oven to 350 Degree Fahrenheit .

Step 2:- Grease and flour a loaf  pan  and keep aside .

Step 3:-   Melt 1/2 cup of butter in a mixing bowl .



Step 4:-   Add 3/4 cup of sugar  , 2 pinch of salt,


2 eggs  and 



mix well with a hand mixer.


Step 5:-   Now add  ''very ripened''(  3 nos) banana ,  and 2-3 drops of Vanilla extract .  'Beat' well  and add 


3/4 cup of all purpose flour  ( maida) 


1/2- 3/4 teaspoon of baking soda and 1/2-3/4  teaspoon  of baking powder . 


''Beat'' well , until you get a ''smooth and soft  liquid  batter ''.


Step 6:-  Pour 'the batter ' into Step 2  loaf  pan ,


'sprinkle' 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts 


Step 7:- Bake for 50 - 55 minutes .
