Jackfruit Dumplings RECIPE#260







Step 1 :-   Make  a smooth paste  with 30-35  jackfruit bulbs and keep aside 






Step 2 :-  Melt    jaggery / brown cane sugar ( 1 cup of   brown cane sugar in 1/2 a cup of water )  , and set aside .




Step 3 :-   Chop  dates  (6-9 nos) and keep aside .




Step 4:-   Roast  rice flour (3/4 cup )and keep aside .




Step 5 :-   Combine Step 1 jackfruit  paste   ,  Step 2  'cane sugar syrup ' , a pinch of salt and   cardamom powder  ( 2 table spoon ) .




and add the rice flour .




combine well and set aside  for 20 minutes .



Step 6  :-   Grease idly mould with oil and scoop a spoonful of  jackfruit batter   into  pre greased mould . and 'place   few  '  chopped dates  on it . And steam for 15-18 minutes on medium flame   until a '' wooden tooth pick '' inserted into the center of dumplings  comes out clean. 




Step 7  : Jackfruit Dumplings are  ready ..... Enjoy   ........JA-Mathew- :)
