Okra Stir Fry from Jes's Kitchen ! RECIPE #318









Step 1:- Wash ,  and clean  and cut  "  okra/ladies finger    " (18 oz~1.12 lbs~0.5 kg   )  into  lengh wise ( 3'' length )  and  set aside .




Step 2:- Heat a pan and add oil (any vegetable oil , 2 table spoons)  and splutter   , mustard seeds ( 1 1 /2 teaspoons ) , and  cumin seeds  (  1 teaspoons  ) , 




and  add  turmeric powder   (  3/4  teaspoon  ), saute and 



and  step 1 okra  , combine and add 


onion ( red , one ,  medium sized  ,sliced   ) , green chillies ( 2-3  nos ,  slitted   ) and   curry leaves  (  2 twigs ) ,   combine and close its lid and 



cook for 15-17 minutes on medium flame. Now open the lid  and add oil  ( 1/2 teaspoon , add more if needed ), and sauté  in between  ( another 4-5 minutes )  until the okra  becomes  "soft and dry" .




Step 3:-  Okra Stir Fry  from Jes's Kitchen is ready ....Enjoy as a side dish for  steamed rice /chapattis/tortillas /fulkas ........JA-Mathew- :)
