Carrot- Green Gram stir fry RECIPE#95

Carrot- Green Gram stir fry






                                                 Step 1:-  Grate  2-3 carrots and keep aside 




Step 2:-  Soak 1 cup of  GREEN GRAM / CHERUPAYAR  for 2-6 hours .


Step 3:- Microwave the soaked GREEN GRAM / CHERUPAYAR with 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder , salt and  1/2-1 cup of water for 15-20  minutes . And keep aside.


Step 4:-  Coarse  grind 5-6 pearl onions, 1/2 teaspoon of cumin seeds, 2-3 green chillies, 4-5 garlic pieces , 2'' ginger root, 10- 12 black pepper , 1 cup of grated coconut and keep aside.



Step 5:- Heat 1 table spoon of  vegetable oil in a  pan , Sputter  1 1/2 teaspoon of mustard seeds and 2-3 dried red chillies.

Step 6:-  Add the microwaved green gram ( from step 3).



Step 7:-  Add the 'Grated carrot' (from step 1).

Step 8:-  Add the  'step 4 paste' ,  1 teaspoon of turmeric powder, salt and 1 teaspoon of kashmiri chilli powder, 7-12 curry leaves mix well with 1/4-1 cup of water. 



Step 9:- Cook until the water evaporates  completely.


Step 10 :-  Carrot-Green gram stir fry is ready ......:)
