Mongolian Beef Curry RECIPE#147








Step 1 :-  Julienne 2 carrots ,
   

2 celery stalks  and keep aside.


Step 2 :-  Cut  1 1/2  lb  of beef  fillet   into  'thin long strips' .  Dry the 'beef strips' with a paper towel .


Step 3:- Coat the  ' dry beef strips'  with  corn starch ,



and set aside for minimum 1/2 an hour . 


S                              Step 4: Heat  a pan on stovetop and then add  2 teaspoon of vegetable oil (          canola )  and then heat the oil.  

Step 5:Now add the  '' coated beef strips '' . Cook for 2- 3 minutes on high flame , 


And  drain on a paper towel  and set aside .


Step 6:- In the same pan ,add  a table spoon of vegetable oil ( canola) ,  add   chopped  2 green chillies ,  2 " ginger and 4-5 garlic cloves . Saute until the ginger -garlic gets light  brown in color .


Step 7:Now add the   a sliced onion , saute until it  gets transparent .


       Step 8:- Bring down the heat and add  3-4 table spoon of soy sauce  , 



 1/4 cup of corn starch 


3-5 teaspoon of red pepper flakes 


1/4- 1/2 cup of dark brown sugar or jaggery , and 1 cup of water 


 Step 9:-  Boil for 15 - 20 minutes , until the ''gravy '' becomes  thick. 


 Step 10 :-  Now add the ''cooked beef strips '' ( step 5)  and combine well . 


 Step 11:-  Add the julienned  celery , carrot and 1/4-1/2 cup of  chopped spring onion/green onion .  Add 2 table spoon of soy sauce , salt and 1/4 cup of water and cook for another 15- 20  minutes on low -medium flame.




 Step 12:Mongolian Beef Curry is ready...........Enjoy with ''sticky rice '' / steamed rice .......:)  JA- Mathew- ......:)
