Prawn Masala RECIPE #18

Step 1:-  Marinate  de-veined  15-20 prawns   with salt , 1/2 tea spoon of turmeric powder and  1 table spoon of lemon juice  for one hour.

Step 2:- Heat 2 table spoon of vegetable oil  in a pan , splutter 1/4 teaspoon of mustard seeds , add one chopped  onion  ,2-3 garlic, 1 table spoon of chopped ginger roots ,8-10 curry leaves, 2-3 green chilli( splitted) , 1-2 pieces of cinnamon sticks,1-2 cardamom ,1/4 teaspoon of fennel seeds ,2-3 cloves saute  until the onion turns  to  a golden brown color.

Step 3 :- Bring down the heat and add 1/2 teaspoon of  chili powder,1 teaspoon of turmeric powder,2 teaspoon of coriander powder1/4 teaspoon of cumin powder, Saute until its raw taste is gone. Then add a chopped tomato and  saute until becomes  mushy.

Step 4:- Mix the marinated prawn( step 1) in to  step 3 pan. Turn off the flame  and keep it for 2-3 hours.

Step 5:- Cook the' marinated prawns ' ( step 4) in medium heat for 20-25 minutes  with  1/2 - 1  cup of water .

Step 6:- Garnish with coriander leaves.
