Recipe courtesy My Mom ( Ammus :) )
Step 1:- Chop a onion , 3-5 pearl onion, 3 tomatoes and keep aside .
Step 2:- Crush 2 teaspoon of coriander seeds, 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds and 1 teaspoon of fennel seeds and keep aside.
Step 3:- Crush 2 -3 garlic cloves , 2 inch of ginger root and keep aside.
Step 4:- Heat 1 table spoon of vegetable oil ( Canola) , splutter 1 teaspoon of mustard seeds, add chopped Savala , Saute until it becomes ''transparent ''.
Step 5:- Add step 3 ''crushed ginger- garlic paste'', 2-3 splitted green chilies, and few curry leaves.
Step 6:- Add step 2 ''crushed coriander-cumin-fennel seeds'' ,Saute for few seconds.
Step 7:- Bring down the heat and add 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder, and 1 teaspoon of kashmiri chilli powder, chopped tomato ( Step 1) , saute for few minutes .
Step 8:- Add 1 1/2 cup of water and salt . Cook for 15 minutes in medium flame .
Step 9:- Now add 1/2 teaspoon of garam masala or chicken masala powder. Combine well and boil for few more seconds. Add few chopped cilantro.
Step 10 :- Serve hot , it goes well with Steamed rice ,Fulkas,Chapathi,Tortillas........... :) JA-Mathew :)........
