Chicken Drumstick Vattichathu ( Jes Style ) RECIPE#116


                                                   Chicken Drumstick Vattichathu ( Jes Style )





                         Step 1:- Marinate 4 lb of chicken drum sticks with 2 teaspoon of Turmeric powder 



Step 2:-' Finely chop' 1 1/2 onion , 4-7 garlic pieces, 3 '' of ginger root, and  2-3 green chillies.



Step 3:- Heat a pan and splutter  1 1/2 teaspoon of mustard seeds.


                                                  Step 4:- Add the chopped onion  and ( step 2) 



  Step 5:-  Saute until the onion becomes soft.



  Step 6:-  Now add the chopped  garlic ginger and green chillies  ( step 2) 


  Step 7:- Add the 1 star anise, 1 1/2 table spoon of fennel seeds ,  6-10 cloves, 1 bay leaf , saute  until the onion becomes golden brown in color.



  Step 8:-  Now bring down the heat ,  add 1 1/2 teaspoon of kashmiri  chilli powder, 2 teaspoon of turmeric powder, and 2 1/2 teaspoon of coriander powder, salt and 2 table spoon of  water, saute until its raw smell goes.


                    Step 9:- Apply the ''Step 8 onion - curry powder paste '' on  step 1 chicken pieces.



Step 10:-  ''Combine'' well , keep it for 2- 3 hours.



                                         Step 11:-  Preheat the oven to 450 Degree Fahrenheit .

                                     Step 12:-  Bake the  ' MARINATED CHICKEN DRUMSTICKS' for  45 minutes  at 450 F with 1/2  cup of water and  another 1520 minutes at 300 F.



Step 13:- Chicken Drumstick Vattichathu ( Jes Style )  is ready............................
