Step 1:- Make a smooth paste with 1 1/2 cup of grated coconut , 2-3 red dried chillies, 3 '' of ginger root , salt , tamarind ( a small lemon sized ) , 7-9 pearl onions , few curry leaves, and 1 teaspoon of Kashmiri chili powder .
And keep aside .
Step 2:- Heat 2 table spoon of vegetable oil in a pan , Splutter 1 teaspoon of mustard seeds and 1 teaspoon of urud dal .
Add 2-3 dried red chillies, 3-4 finely chopped pearl onions , few curry leaves .
And saute for few minutes, until the onion gets brown in color .
Step 2:- Add the smooth paste ( Step 1) and 1/4 cup of water .
Mix well and 'cook' at low flame for 5-6 minutes.
Step 3:- Red Hot Coconut chutney is ready .....Enjoy with Dosa, Masala dosa, Idly.......
