Chicken stew RECIPE#144






Step 1:-   'Chop' 1 1/2 lb / 3/4 kg of bone less chicken thighs,  a medium sized  potato, and 2  medium sized carrots  , and keep aside.

Step 2:- Heat   a  pan , and add 2-4 table spoon of  vegetable oil ( canola)  , and  splutter  1 teaspoon of  mustard seeds.  And add  2-4 cardamom, 3-4 black pepper,  1 1/2 teaspoon of fennel seeds,  2-4  cinnamon sticks and 5-6 cloves. Saute for few   seconds ,  until you get a' nice spices smell'. 



Step 3:-  Now add 3-5  splitted green chillies ,  4-7 chopped  garlic  pieces ,  chopped 2 '' of ginger root . And saute for few minutes.


Step 4:-  Now add  1 1/2  - 2 onion ( sliced) and few curry leaves  . And saute  until the  onion becomes transparent .


Step 5:-  Now bring down the heat and add 2 1/2  teaspoon of  coriander powder and 1 teaspoon of  turmeric powder .


Step 6:-  Now add  the step 1 chicken pieces , 2 teaspoon of pepper powder  ,mix well . Cook for 4-8 minutes on medium flame .



Step 7:-  Now add  the 'step 1 potato ,carrots ' and 1/2 - 1  cup of water . Cook for until the chicken and 'vegetables' are  done.
