Step 1 :- Marinate chicken ( 2 lb) with orange juice ( 1/4 ),
and lemon juice ( 1/2 of a lemon ) ,
soy sauce ( 1 teaspoon ),
vinegar or rice vinegar ( 1 teaspoon ) ,
and pepper powder ( 1 teaspoon ) , and refrigerate it for 30 minutes - 2 hours .
Step 2 :- Heat a pan and add oil ( 2 teaspoons ) and saute onion ( a big red one ) ,
chopped ginger ( 3/4 teaspoon ), and chopped garlic ( 3/4 teaspoon )
until the onion becomes transparent .
Step 3 :- Now add the Marinated chicken ( step 1 ) ,
saute for 2-3 minutes
and add oyster sauce ( 2 teaspoon , I used panda express') ,
soys sauce ( 1 1/2 teaspoon )
red chilli paste ( 3/4 teaspoon )
red pepper flakes ( 1 teaspoon )
and orange juice (1/2 cup ). Combine well and cook for 15 minutes on medium flame.
Step 4 :- Now add the all purpose flour ( 1 table spoon ) and combine well ,
and palm sugar / jagarry / brown sugar ( 3-4 table spoon ) , and cook for another 5-10 minutes .
Step 5 :- Add the green onions ( chopped 1/4-1/2 cup) ,
and sesame seeds ( 3 teaspoons ) , cook for another 2-3 minutes .
Step 6 :- Easy Orange Chicken is ready ..... Enjoy with Steamed rice/ chapattis/ fulkas/Tortillas ........JA-Mathew- :)
