Dal ( parippu ) & Cabbage Curry RECIPE#256





Step 1:-  Pressure cook  Dal / parippu ( soaked , 1 1/2 cup  )  , cabbage ( finely chopped ,  1/2 cup )  , tomato ( chopped , one )  , onion ( chopped , one ) garlic ( finely chopped , 3 table sooons)   , kashmiri chilli powder ( 1 teaspoon )  , turmeric powder  ( 3/4 teaspoon), salt   green chillies ( 3 , whole )  , 

and water ( 1 cup ) and   keep aside .



Step 2:- Heat a pan , add a table spoon of vegetable oil , splutter mustard seeds   ( 1/2 teaspoon)  ,  cumin seeds (  1/2 teaspoon )  , dried red chilli ( 1)  ,




 and add onion ( 1/4 cup ,  finely chopped ) , and curry leaves .



Now bring down the temperature   and add kashmiri chilli powder ( 1/4   teaspoons ) , turmeric powder ( 1/2   teaspoon )  and   saute until its raw smell goes away !, and


add the step one cooked dal - cabbage  , combine and cook for 2-4 minutes .


now add coconut paste ( 1/2 cup ) , and cook for another 5 minutes on low - medium flame . 



Step 3:- Peas Curry Dal ( parippu )  & Cabbage Curry is ready...........:) Enjoy  with  steamed rice/chapattis/  doasas/ idly .............- JA Mathew-
