Mampazha Pulisseri ( Ripened Mango+ Curd+ Coconut ) Onam Special from Jes's Kitchen ! RECIPE #313




Step 1:-  Grind Coconut ( 1/2 - 3/4   cup   )  , and cumin seeds  ( 3/4 - 1 teaspoon) into  a smooth paste . And keep aside .





Step 2:- Cut Ripened Mango ( one big , into small squares) 




and cook them by adding  turmeric powder( 1 teaspoon )  , kashmiri chilli powder ( 1/2 teaspoon ) ,  jaggery ( a lemon sized / 1/4 cup ) , green chillies ( 2-3 nos ),   salt  




 and water ( 1/2  -1  cup ) ,   on medium flame ( until the mango pieces become  soft  ) 


mash it  ( as in the pic below )  .


Step 3:- Now add  the Step 1 coconut  - cumin seeds mixture . Combine and add water ( 1/2 cup ) and boil it . Then allow to cool it .





Now add curd ( 1/2 - 3/4 cup )  and combine at the same time .



Step 4:- Heat another  pan and add  oil  (  2 teaspoons   ) and  splutter mustard seeds ( 2 teaspoons ) ,  and add curry leaves ( 2 twigs )  ,  red dried chillies ( 4-5 nos )  .. 



Step 5:-  Pour "step 4 oil-  curry leaves - red chillies " 


over the "step 3  mango mixture  ". Combine  and add salt ( if needed ) .
