2020 's Special Chicken Curry From Jes's Kitchen ! RECIPE: 336



Hey guys follow me here 





STEP 1 :- Cut  Whole chicken ( 3 lb~ 1 1/2 kg ) into   pieces ,



 (as in the pic below ) and set aside . 




STEP 2 :- Heat a pan  and add  oil ( coconut oil , 2 tablespoons) , and  add onion ( I used yellow  ones , 3 large sized  ),  and saute until  it gets light brown in color . Now add cardamom  ( 5-6 nos ) , fennel seeds ( 1 teaspoon )  , pepper corns ( 8-10nos )  , cumin seeds ( 3/4 taspoon ) , cloves ( 4-6 nos ), cinnamon stick ( one small )  and anistar  ( one petel of a flower ) ,  and saute until you get the aroma of the  ' whole spices' .




Now add ginger garlic paste (  2 1/2 - 3 table spoons ), saute for 1-2  minutes  , 


and  BRING DOWN THE HEAT and add  chilli powder ( kashmiri ,  1 1/2 teaspoons )  , turmeric  powder  ( 1 teaspoon ), and coriander powder  ( 3 teaspoons ) ,  saute for few seconds and 




add  tomato ( 2  medium sized , chopped ) , and add water ( 1/4 cup ) and cook for 3 minutes  ( until the tomato becomes mushy ) .



Now add green chillies ( 3-4 nos , whole )  and curry leaves ( 2 twigs )  , and combine .




 Now  add curd ( 1/2 cup ) , combine .


STEP 3:-  Now add the chicken pieces  ( STEP 1) ,  and cook for 50 - 80 minutes on LOW- MEDIUM flame .




STEP 4 :- Heat another  pan  and add  oil  ( coconut oil , 2 table spoons ) 


splutter mustard seeds ( 1 teaspoon) , and dried chillies ( 4-6 nos ) , bring down the heat and add  



turmeric powder ( 1/2 teaspoon) , coriander powder  ( 1 teaspoon) and chili powder ( kashmiri , 1/2 teaspoon) and 




and  pour it on STEP 3 chicken , 


and  add sugar ( brown sugar , 1 table spoons ) , combine and  cook for another 10 minutes on LOW FLAME .
