Ground Turkey -Veg Dish [ Indian Style] RECIPE #55







Step 1:-  Chop 1/2 medium sized onion,  Chop 2 '' of  ginger  root & 4-6 garlic cloves, chop  1/2   green pepper , 3-5 spring onion ,1/2 potato,  broccoli , a carrots  and keep aside.


  Step 2:- Heat 2 tablespoon of vegetable oil  in a pan . Splutter 1 teaspoon of  mustard seeds.


Step 4:- Add the  chopped  onion ,  ginger , Garlic cloves ( step 1)   and 1 teaspoon of Cumin seeds .  Saute until the onion turns golden brown in color.


Step 5:- Bring down the heat  and add 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder ,  1 1/2 teaspoon of chilli powder, 1/2 teaspoon of pepper powder and 1 1/2 teaspoon of garam masala  (  How to prepare garam masala powder :- http://jesacos5.blogspot.com/2013/11/biriyani-powder-garam-masala-powder.html ), Saute for few seconds.


Step 6:-  Add  Chopped'' vegs'' ( STEP  1)Mix well  . Cook for 5- 10 minutes on medium flame  with 1/4 cup of water and salt until the ''vegs'' are softened.


Step 7:- Add ground Turkey (16 OZ)( or "any Ground meat")  , 1/2 teaspoon of pepper powder  , 1/4 teaspoon of garam masala powder and  4 table spoon of water


Step 8:- Mix well and  cook for another  10 -12 minutes in medium flame ,until the ''meat'' is done.


Step 9:-  Garnish  with  chopped cilantro .....Ground Turkey -Veg Dish is ready.......:)  Its a'' best side'' dish for Steamed rice , Chapatis, and Tortillas.....  :)  Enjoy.....-JA- Mathew-
