Step 1:- Cut Soak  red / back eyed beans  ( 2-4 hours ) and cook and keep aside .
Step 2- Cut ash gourd  ( 1/2 of a big one  , into small squares)  and cook them  by adding    green chillies  ( 4-5 nos )  water  ( 1/2 cup ) and salt( as needed )   ( until 
 the pieces of ash gourd become transparent as in the pic below ) 
Step 3- Now add the step 1 cooked beans , and cook for another 5 minutes . 
now add    coconut milk ( 1 cup thick  OR 3/4 cup coconut milk powder in 1/2 cup water ) , combine and  allow to boil it .
Now add coconut oil ( 2 table spoons )  . switch off the flame and add salt and  curry laves ( 2 twigs )
